/In a remarkable round of football, two favourites won this week, but the level of contrarianism meant that the all-Tipster average came in at 2.7 from 4, including 3s for all Tipsters except Bookie Knows Best and the RSMP twins.
That left MoSHBODS_Marg in outright 1st position, now on 151.5 from 202 (75%), and still one tip ahead of MoSSBODS_Marg, who also scored 3. Bookie Knows Best is now in joint 3rd, tied with MoSHPlay_Marg on 143.5.
The all-Tipster all-season average is now just over 70%.
The Margin Predictors’ mean absolute errors (MAEs) covered a range from ENS_Linear’s 11.2 points per game to MoSHBODS_Marg’s 18.1 points per game. MoSSBODS_Marg, at 16.5 points per game did well enough to maintain top spot and now leads MoSHPlay_Marg by just over 8 points. MoSHBODS_Marg remains third, now another 30 points further back.
The only movement on the Leaderboard was Bookie_3 overtaking RSMP_Weighted.
The all-Predictor average came in at 14.9 points per game, which took the all-season all-Predictor average to 24.4 points per game.
Log probability scores were all positive again this week, but moreso for the MoS trio, and best for MoSHPlay_Prob.. MoSSBODS_Prob remains in 1st, followed by MoSHBODS_Prob and then MoSHPlay_Prob. .
WAGERING
It was a third unprofitable week for Investors, entirely because of the Cats’ failure to cover and the Dees’ failure to win.
The overall round loss for the Combined Portfolio was 0.4c, which moved it to a season-long profit of 43.6c, that from a +38% ROT on a 1.16 turn.
