/Six opening-market favourites won again this week, and the general lack of contrarian tipping meant that all but Control The Ladder recorded exactly that score. As a result MoSHBODS_Marg still sits two tips clear at the top of the Leaderboard, now on 98 from 135 (73%), ahead of MoSSBODS_Marg on 96 from 135 (71%), and Bookie Knows Best on 94 from 135 (70%).
The all-Tipster average came in at 6.1 from 9, keeping the all-Tipster all-season average at just over 68%.
The Margin Predictors all did well on mean absolute error (MAE) this, with none of them recording anything higher than 21.8 points per game, and a number of then recording sub 17 points per game results.
Best was RSMP_Simple’s 15.6 points per game, ahead of ENS_Linear’s 16.5, and RSMP_Weighted’s 16.7. MoSHPlay_Marg was mid-pack with a MAE of 18.1 points per game, but still sits in first place on the Leaderboard and now just over five goals ahead of MoSSBODS_Marg, and just over nine goals ahead of MoSHBODS_Marg..
The all-Predictor average came in at 18.1 points per game, which dropped the all-season all-Predictor average to 25.3 points per game.
Log probability scores were all positive yet again this week, but highest for MoSHPlay_Prob, and lowest for MoSHBODS_Prob, which was enough to see MoSHPlay_Prob claim top spot on the Leaderboord, relegating MoSHBODS_Prob to second, and MoSSBODS_Prob to third.
WAGERING
Richmond were always going to have a large say in the profitability of Round 16, and their 35-point win was enough to give Investors their 4th-highest single round return of the season, and the best since Round 6.
In the end, Investors enjoyed five collects from eight bets and profits for all but the Overs/Unders Fund..
The overall round profit for the Combined Portfolio was 4.1c, which moved it to a season-long profit of just under 33c, that from a +40% ROT on a 0.82 turn.
