2021 - Round 8 Results - Yeah, Not Like That
/In a round in which seven favourites registered the win, it’s unsurprising that the Head-to-Head Tipster average came in at 6.9 from 9 this week. Best were RSMP_Weighted’s and Consult The Ladder’s 8 from 9, and worst was Home Sweet Home’s 5 from 9. RSMP_Weighted’s performance was good enough to move it into joint leadership with MoSSBODS_Marg. on 49 from 72 (68%).
Mean absolute error (MAE) values for the round were very much lower this week, with the lowest of 17.5 points per game registered by RSMP_Simple, and the highest of 23.5 points per game registered by MoSHBODS_Marg.
Despite that result, MoSHBODS_Marg remains 2nd on the Leaderboard, behind MoSSBODS_Marg and ahead of Bookie_Hcap. MoSHPlay_Marg fell four places to 7th.
The Head-to-Head Probability Predictors all recorded positive log probability scores again this week, the best coming from Bookie_RE and Bookie_LPSO. Nonetheless, the ordering is unchanged at the top of the Leaderboard, with MoSHPlay_Prob ahead of MoSHBODS_Prob and then MoSSBODS_Prob.
WAGERS
Round 8 was another about as forgettable as it gets for Investors, with the lone collect coming in one of the two under wagers. Even with that, all three Funds lost money across the round, resulting in a 2c fall in the price of the Combined Portfolio.
The overall profit for the Combined Portfolio is now up by 9.9c on the season, that from a +26% ROT on an 0.39 turn.
