2019 - Round 1 : MoSHPlay Makes Its First Predictions and a first Over/Under Update
/With the teams just announced for tomorrow night’s game, MoSHPlay has made its first ever pre-game forecasts, tipping the Tigers to win by 44 points, and assigning them about an 89% probability of victory.
It’s also projecting about a 159 total for the game.
Compared to MoSHBODS then, it has about a three-point larger victory margin for Richmond but assigns roughly the same probability (it uses its own mapping of margin to probability). It also has about a 6-point larger total forecast than MoSHBODS.
On the Over/Under front, based on MoSSBODS’ opinions, we’ve jumped on the unders in both of the games for which markets are currently available on both the TAB and Easybet, taking a 183.5 total in Thursday’s game at $1.87, and a 177.5 total in Friday’s game at $1.88.
In hindsight, I’d have done better to have waited until today to place those wagers as both totals have drifted a little higher since the opening, but we’ve done well in the past getting on as soon as we’re able.
It honestly feels a bit like a new era here on MoS.
