2022 - Round 20 Results - Almost Perfect
/Seven early-week favourites again won this week, which set the floor for the Head-to-Head Tipster performances as five Tipsters recorded seven correct tips, and four recorded eight correct tips. Two of those scoring eight from nine were the team-based MoS models, which left MoSHBODS_Marg one tip clear at the top of the Leaderboard and now on 128.5 from 171 (75%), ahead of MoSSBODS_Marg on 127.5 (75%), and then Bookie Knows Best and the RSMP twins, all now eight tips behind, on 120.5 (71%). MoSHPlay_Marg is a further tip back on 119.5 (70%).
The all-Tipster average came in at 7.4 from 9, lifting the all-Tipster all-season average to just under 70%.
The Margin Predictors were all impressively accurate again this week, with the low mean absolute error (MAE) of 19.5 points per game being registered by the leader, MoSSBODS_Marg, and the high MAE of 21.3 points per game being registered by Bookie_Hcap. MoSHPlay_Marg came in at 19.7 points per game, which was enough to allow it to retain second spot on the ladder, just 11 points behind MoSSBODS_Marg.
The only movement came further down the Leaderboard, where Bookie_Hcap and Bookie_3 swapped places, as did ENS_Linear and Bookie_9.
The all-Predictor average came in at 20.7 points per game, which dropped the all-season all-Predictor average to 24.8 points per game.
With so many favourites again prevailing, log probability scores were all comfortably positive for another week, but most of all for the leader, MoSSBODS_Prob. MoSHBODS_Prob was next best and good enough to see it regain second spot on the Leaderboard ahead of MoSHPlay_Prob.
WAGERING
Whilst it certainly did look that it would be the case for much of the Tigers v Lions clash, yet another profitable week was enjoyed by Investors, stretching the streak to seven rounds. Only the Overs/Unders Fund finished in the red.
The overall round profit for the Combined Portfolio was 2.7c, which moved it to a season-long profit of 46.3c, that from a +46% ROT on a 1.0 turn. In other words, the entirety of the original Combined Portfolio has now been wagered and, as a result, that Portfolio has grown in value by just over 46%.
