2021 - Round 10 Results - Even More Promising
/Round 10 continued the upward trend for the Head-to-Head Tipsters, with the average score coming in at 7.3 from 9 this week. Best were the MoS trio’s, Bookie Knows Best’s, ENS_Linear’s and Home Sweet Home’s 8 from 9, while all the remaining Tipsters scored 6 from 9. MoSSBODS_Marg’s 8 from 9 was enough for it to retain sole leadership, now on 65 from 90 (72%), ahead of the two other MoS Tipsters who are both on 64 from 90 (71%).
The MoS trio - who, you’ll recall, use no bookmaker data - also hold the top three places amongst the Margin Predictors, and this week also recorded the three best mean absolute error (MAE) values.
MoSHPlay_Marg was best of all at 21.3 points per game, ahead of MoSHBODS_Marg’s 21.7 points per game, and then MoSSBODS_Marg’s 22.2 points per game. Bookie_3 recorded the round’s worst MAE of 26.9 points per game and, as a result, slipped from 5th to 9th on the Leaderboard.
The all-Predictor average MAE came in at 24.1 points per game.
For the sixth successive week, the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors all recorded positive log probability scores, the best coming from the MoS trio, headed by MoSHPlay_Prob. It still sits atop the Leaderboard, ahead of MoSHBODS_Prob and then MoSSBODS_Prob.
I can’t recall any time in the past when the MoS trio have filled the Top 3 spots on all three Leaderboards.
WAGERS
Round 10 reversed the trend of losses for Investors, and recouped almost the entirety of the losses from the previous two rounds. Both the Head-to-Head and Line Funds made profits, while the Overs/Unders Fund made a small loss.
The overall profit for the Combined Portfolio for the round was 2.4c, which moved it to a season-long profit of 11.8c, that from a +26% ROT on an 0.46 turn.
