2019 - Round 23 Results - Still To Play For

With just nine results to come - and all of them in Finals, which are traditionally kind to favourites - it’s hard to see Bookie Knows Best (BKB) being overtaken on the Head-to-Head Tipsters’ Leaderboard before season’s end. With its 133 from 198 (67%) record, it still leads ENS_Linear by two tips.

The race for the Margin Predictor title is very much alive, however, with only about 5 goals separating RSMP_Weighted in 1st from Bookie_LPSO in 4th, and only 5 points separating the RSMP twins in 1st and 2nd.

The week’s best mean absolute error (MAE) belonged to a Predictor much further down the Leaderboard, however, Bookie_3’s 23.1 points per game result over 1.5 points better than any other Predictor.

MoSHPlay_Marg’s result was around mid-pack but still good enough to see it climb another spot this week into 7th and ahead of the two other MoS models.

MoSHBODS_Prob, for the second week running, did best of all the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors, just ahead of MoSHPlay_Prob and C_Prob, although all the Predictors returned fairly similar, positive log probability scores. MoSSBODS_Prob retains 1st on the Leaderboard, ahead of MoSHBODS_Prob, while MoSHPlay_Prob has lifted itself above C_Prob and into 2nd-last.

WAGERS

Another loss for the Combined Portfolio, this week entirely attributable to the Overs/Unders Fund, which landed 0 from 4 despite getting within a goal or so three times. Its losses more than accounted for the total, weighted gains from the Head-to-Head and Line Funds.

The Combined Portfolio is now priced at $1.223, this result coming now from a 12.5% ROT on a 1.79 turn of the Portfolio Funds.
