2018 - Round 8 Results - MoSHBODS' Round
/With the RSMP twins going the right way in the Hawthorn v Sydney game, we now have a four-way tie atop the Head-to-Head Tipsters Leaderboard involving these twins, BKB, and ENS_Linear. They're all now on 49.5 from 72 (69%).
It was MoSHBODS_Marg, however, that triumphed amongst the Margin Predictors this week in returning a mean absolute error (MAE) of just 17.4 points per game, almost a full point per game better than any other Predictor. It's still about 16 goals off the leading pack, however.
That pack is now headed, for the first time since Round 2, by RSMP_Simple, which leads RSMP_Weighted by less a point. Bookie_Hcap, last week's leader, is now in third place and just a few points further back.
For the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors it was a weekend of modestly positive probability scoring, with MoSHBODS_Prob doing best of all, and the five other Predictors registering much the same scores. Bookie_RE remains in first place on the Leaderboard, just fractionally ahead of Bookie_LPSO.
WAGERS
Excepting a disappointing start and end to the Round from the Hawks and the Pies, this week's wagering was as close to perfect as Investors could have hoped for.
The Head-to-Head Fund leapt up by almost 7c, thanks largely to the Blues win over the Dons, while the Overs/Unders Fund climbed by over 5c on a perfect 3 from 3 performance. The Line Fund also made a small profit, which allowed the Combined Portfolio to rise by over 4c, moving it into profitability for the first time this season.
That Combined Portfolio is now up by 0.3% on the season, the result of a +0.4% ROI on about a 0.71 turn.
