2017 - Round 17 Results - MoSHBODS Responds
/The MoS twins had excellent Round 17s, MoSSBODS_Marg returning a competition-best 8 from 9 amongst the Head-to-Head Tipsters and the second-best mean absolute error (MAE) amongst the Margin Predictors, behind only MoSHBODS_Marg's 21.3 points per game.
Those performances were enough to move MoSSBODS_Marg into a share of 1st on the Head-to-Head Tipster Leaderboard and to move MoSHBODS_Marg back into outright 1st on the Margin Predictor Leaderboard after an absence of only a single week.
Overall, head-to-head tipping was not especially difficult this week, with the Tipsters collectively averaging 6.2 from 9, that figure dragged down somewhat by the fact that only three home teams prevailed.
Margin prediction also proved less challenging, the all-Predictor average MAE coming in at 24.5 points per Predictor per game, aided by five sub-23 MAEs from MoSHBODS_Marg, MoSSBODS_Marg, Bookie_3, Bookie_Hcap, and ENS_Linear.
MoSHBODS_Marg's move back into 1st aside, there were other changes in rank further down the Leaderboard, which now sees 1st through 8th separated by only about 62 points.
The line-betting performances of the Margin Predictors generally continued to decline this week, leaving only RSMP_Simple, MoSSBODS_Marg, and Bookie_LPSO with season-long profitable records.
Success for six of the nine favourites made for high log probability scores this week, the best recorded by MoSSBODS_Prob, narrowly ahead of MoSHBODS_Prob. The Leaderboard now has Bookie_OE in 1st, MoSHBODS_Prob in 2nd, and Bookie_RE in 3rd.
