MatterOfStats 2021 : Team Dashboard for Round 3

Here’s the Ranking on Dashboard Metrics data, which this week reveals that Scoring Shot Conversion - a team’s own and its opponents’ - has been relatively unimportant. Melbourne, for example, are in the bottom 3 on both metrics, but sit 3rd on the competition ladder.

It also shows that Q4 performances have been fairly unimportant, too, with the worst team on this metric, Sydney, sitting 2nd on the ladder, and the best team, Brisbane Lions, sitting 13th.

The full Team Dashboard appears below, a few of the interesting things from which are that:

• Brisbane Lions, Melbourne, and Richmond are yet to lose a Q4

• Carlton, Geelong, Port Adelaide, and Sydney are yet to lose a Q3

• Sydney are also yet to lose a Q2 (and yet to win a Q4)

• Western Bulldogs are yet to lose a Q1

• St Kilda are yet to win a Q1 or a Q3

• GWS, Hawthorn, and North Melbourne are yet to win a Q2

• Adelaide are yet to win a Q3

• Carlton are yet to win a Q4
