2017 - Round 12 Results - Home Sweet Home Has Its Day
Six home teams but only three mid-week TAB favourites won their Round 12 games, which has catapulted last-season's spoon-winning Home Sweet Home a tip clear of Bookie Knows Best.
No other Head-to-Head Tipster scored better than 3 from 6, a result achieved by both RSMP Tipsters - enough, paired with MoSSBODS_Marg's 1 from 6 to move RSMP_Simple and RSMP_Weighted into joint-first position on the Leaderboard with a 64 from 101 (63%) record.
The all-Tipster average for the round was also 3 from 6.
It proved a challenging round for the Margin Predictors too, who could manage only an all-Predictor mean absolute error (MAE) of 40.8 points per game per Predictor.
Best was ENS_Linear's 38.7 points per game, followed by RSMP_Weighted's (39.0) and Bookie_9's (39.2). The only other Predictor recording a sub-40 MAE was RSMP_Simple (39.98). MoSSBODS_Marg returned the round's worst MAE of 44.2 points per game.
MoSHBODS_Marg did only a little better than MoSSBODS_Marg, but now heads the Leaderboard by just over 6 goals.
A little further down the table, RSMP_Weighted's performance was good enough to lift it into 3rd place, relegating RSMP_Simple into 4th.
On line betting, all of the Margin Predictors except Bookie_3 and C_Marg still have season-long profitable records.
For the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors it was one of their worst collective performances of the season, roughly on a par with their Round 7 results. MoSSBODS_Prob had the round's worst probability score, Bookie_LPSO the round's best. MoSHBODS_Prob has retained 1st place on the Leaderboard, however, ahead of Bookie-OE and Bookie-LPSO.
WAGERS
Collingwood's late goal salvaged the line bet on that game and ensured that the Overall Portfolio enjoyed its seventh consecutive profit.
This week, that profit amounted to 2.6c, which takes the season's profit to 23.3c.
Especially pleasing this week was the 3 from 3 performance of the Over/Under Fund, which now has a 31 and 23 record for the season and a 17 and 9 performance over the past six rounds.
The Line Fund also recorded a profit for the 7th consecutive week and for the 10th time in 12 rounds so far this season.
Not so for the Head-to-Head Fund, which lost for the first time since Round 5, but still remains up by a healthy 39.6% on the season.
