Though the Crows are now not as unbeatable as they seemed to be a week ago, they're still the highest rated team in the competition, according to both MoSSBODS and MoSHBODS.

Below them, GWS and Port Adelaide traded places on both Systems, GWS snatching 2nd on MoSSBODS and Port Adelaide doing the same on MoSHBODS. 

Further down there's only minor disagreement about team rankings, the only multi-spot differences those for Collingwood, ranked 6th on MoSSBODS and 8th on MoSHBODS, and for Geelong, ranked 8th on MoSSBODS and 6th on MoSHBODS.

On MoSSBODS, no team moved by more than two places this weekend, while on MoSHBODS the Roos climbed three places into 9th and the Dons fell three places into 17th.

Taking a wider view, we can see that this week served to compress ratings generally, with the majority of the top 6 teams surrendering Ratings Points on both Systems, and most of the bottom 6 teams acquiring them.

We can see this compression on MoSSBODS, which includes the Crows' coming back to the field a little, in the animation below.

Adelaide still, however, stack up pretty well in an historical context, albeit a little less prominently than they did a week ago.

Turning next to the teams' separate offensive and defensive ratings, we find that both Systems have Adelaide, Port Adelaide and GWS as the top 3 teams offensively, in that order, all three teams having maintained those positions from the start of the round despite shedding Rating Points.

The defensive top 3s are now also in alignment across the two Systems, the Western Bulldogs ranked 1st, GWS 2nd, and Port Adelaide 3rd.

Offensively, the big movers on both Systems for the round were:

• Melbourne, down three places on both Systems
• Richmond, down two places on both Systems
• The Kangaroos, up three places on MoSSBODS and four places on MoSHBODS
• Gold Coast, up two places on MoSSBODS and three places on MoSHBODS

ChiPS AND MARS

Adelaide still also enjoy favouritism with ChiPS and MARS, though their Rating Point lead over GWS has been cut significantly.

Port Adelaide have retained 3rd place on ChiPS, and Geelong have done the same on MARS, despite both shedding Rating Points over the weekend.

The big movers on ChiPS were the Kangaroos, up 3 places into 9th, and the Dees, down 3 places into 12th. On MARS, the only significant mover was the Roos, up 4 into 8th. On both Systems, the Roos' rating increase was enough to move them from below-average to above-average status, an assessment shared by nine other teams on ChiPS and eight other teams on MARS.

More broadly, we see very similar ratings compression on ChiPS and MARS to that which we saw on MoSSBODS and MoSHBODS, higher ranked teams tended to shed Rating Points, and lower ranked teams tending to accrue them.

There still though are a handful of teams that the four Systems rank quite differently:

• Geelong: ranked 3rd on MARS and 8th on MoSSBODS
• Richmond: ranked 5th on ChiPS and 10th on MARS and MoSHBODS
• Collingwood: ranked 6th on MoSSBODS and 12th on MARS
• St Kilda: ranked 5th on MoSSBODS and MoSHBODS, and 11th on ChiPS

All four agree about the ranking of only two teams: Adelaide in 1st, and the Brisbane Lions in 18th.
