2024 - Round 11 Results - smh
/Six early-week favourites bagged the four points this week, and one other bagged two, which defined the ceiling for scores this weekend. Bookie Knows Best, ENS_Linear, and the RSMP twins were the only Head-to-Head Tipsters recording that maximum, which left Bookie Knows Best in 1st place on the Leaderboard, one tip clear of ENS_Linear, and a further tip clear of the MoS family and the RSMP pair.
The all-Tipster average for the round came in at 5.8 from 9, which took the season-long figure to 63.6 from 99 (64%).
Margin prediction was much stronger this week, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from RSMP_Weighted’s 21.3 points per game to MoSSBODS_Marg’s 23.9 points per game, with the all-Predictor average coming in at 22.7 points per game, which is down by over 17 points per game on last week. The season-long all-predictor average is now 25.9 points per game per predictor.
RSMP_Weighted’s was good enough to see it climb a spot into 5th, while RSMP_Simple’s 21.7 points per game lifted it into 2nd. There is, however, only about 7-and-a-half goals between 1st and 7th.
MoSHPlay_Marg remains best of the MoS trio and is now just over 12 goals off the lead.
Log probability scores were all slightly positive again this week and also best for MoSSBODS_Prob again. Nonetheless, Bookie_LPSO retained 1st place ahead of Bookie_RE, and MoSSBODS_Prob remains worst. MoSHPlay_Prob still lies in 4th and is the best of the MoS trio.
WAGERING
Round 11 demonstrated once again that, this year, Investors shouldn’t be hoping for the 50:50 opportunities to fall their way, as all three Funds recorded a loss in the same round for the 3rd time this season.
Overall, the Combined Portfolio finished down by 6.3c, which leaves it down now by exactly twice that much on the season, that from a -7% ROT on a 1.8 turn.
