Seven of the nine early-week favourites were successful in Round 24, but the best scorers amongst the Head-to-Head Tipsters went one better, and were recorded by MoSHPlay_Marg and MoSSBODS_Marg. Everyone else scored that 7 from 9 except Home Sweet Home, who scored just 5.

MoSHPlay_Marg now has a three tip lead over RSMP_Simple, and looks very hard to catch with just nine games left in the season.

The all-Tipster average for the round came in at 7 from 9, taking the season-long figure to 127.9 from 207 (62%).

Margin prediction was easier this week, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from MoSHPlay_Marg’s 25.8 points per game to Bookie_9’s 30.6 points per game, with the all-Predictor average coming in at 27.1 points per game, which is more than 3 points per game lower than last week. The season-long all-predictor average is 27.1 points per game per predictor.

The big movements on the Leaderboard this week were ENS_Linear’s climb from 6th to 3rd, Bookie_Hcap’s fall from 3rd to 5th, and Bookie_9’s fall from 4th to 6th.

The gap between 1st and 7th is now 77 points, but only 34 points separate 1st and 5th.

Log probability scores were all strongly positive this week, and very nearly equal for all six forecasters, which left the order unchanged on the Leaderboard.

WAGERING

It was a profit, at last, for Investors this week, as all three Funds made gains on seven collects from 14 wagers.

Overall, the Combined Portfolio finished up by just under 6c, which leaves it down now by 26c on the season, that from a -8% ROT on a 3.4 turn.
