2023 - Round 16 Results - Giving a Little Back
With the draw giving everyone a free half-tip, it was six-and-a-halfs and seven-and-a-halfs all round this week (except for Home Sweet Home) but with MoSHPlay_Marg the only one of the MoS trio bagging the seven-and-a-half, we now have a three-way tie at the top of the Head-to-Head Tipster Leaderboard involving all three of them.
They are on 92 from 135 (68%) and a single tip ahead of ENS_Linear and RSMP_Simple.
The all-Tipster average for the round was 6.8 from 9, which took the all-season figure to 88.1 from 135 (65%).
The Margin Predictors’ mean absolute errors (MAEs) were lower this week and covered a range from Bookie_LPSO’s 30.7 points per game to ENS_Linear’s 34 points per game, with the all-Predictor average coming in at 31.8 points per game per Predictor, which is about 9 points higher than last week.
MoSHPlay_Marg did enough to retain top spot, but now leads by only 37 points from Bookie_LPSO. ENS_Linear, because of its last-placed performance, fell from 3rd to 6th, with 3rd now being filled by MoSHBODS_Marg.
Log probability scores were all highly positive again this week, and most positive of all for MoSHPlay_Prob, which sits in 1st place on the Leaderboard ahead of MoSSBODS_Prob and then MoSHBODS_Prob.
WAGERING
Profitability this week all came down to Gold Coast, and they comprehensively failed to deliver, thus playing a large part in the 1c Head-to-Head Fund loss and the 4c Line Fund loss.
(NB: An earlier version of this table had the Overs/Unders Fund at 3 and 1 for the round)
A two and two performance from the Overs/Unders Fund was no help, leaving the Combined Portfolio down by just over 3c on the round, It is now up by just under 11c on the season, that from a 16% ROT on an 0.69 turn.
