Winners and margins proved a little harder to forecast this week, but the MoS trio still returned mostly pleasing results relative to the bookmakers.

Best amongst the Head-to-Head Tipsters were MoSHBODS_Marg and MoSSBODS_Marg, who both bagged seven from nine for the second week running, ahead of Home Sweet Home, who bagged six. That was enough to move MoSHBODS_Marg into outright first place on 24 from 36 (67%), a tip clear of Bookie Knows Best and MoSSBODS_Marg. MoSHPlay_Marg’s five from nine was perhaps the only low point of the round.

Amongst the Margin Predictors, honours went, comfortably, to MoSSBODS_Marg with a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 27.9 points per game, ahead of MoSHBODS_Marg’s 29.4 points per game. MoSHPlay_Marg had the third-best result, which was enough to see it retain top spot on the Leaderboard.

The MoS trio now fill the top three spots on the Leaderboard, while ENS_Linear has slipped into last place.

Log probability scores were marginally positive for the round for MoSSBODS_Prob and MoSHBODS_Prob, and marginally negative for the bookie-based trio and MoSHPlay_Prob. Those results slipped MoSHPlay_Prob into third on the Leaderboard, behind MoSSBODS_Prob and MoSHBODS_Prob.

WAGERING

It was another very good week for Investors, with all three Funds returning a profit, and only two wagers, both under bets, not being collects.

The overall round profit for the Combined Portfolio was 6.7c, which moved it to a season-long profit of 17.7c, that from a +57.1% ROT on a 0.31 turn. We should enjoy it while it lasts … because it will not last.
