2017 - Round 22 Results - A Good Weekend for the MoS Twins
Seven favourites or equal-favourites won this week, which made for good tipping amongst the Head-to-Head Tipsters, the only one bagging fewer than six being Home Sweet Home, and the all-Tipster average finishing at 6.2.
The two RSMP Tipsters bagged seven, which was enough to drag them into a share of the lead now with MoSSBODS_Marg on 121.5 from 189 (64%).
MoSHBODS_Marg excelled for the second week in a row amongst the Margin Predictors, its mean absolute error (MAE) coming in at just 23.9 points per game. MoSSBODS_Marg's 24.2 points was next best, ahead of C_Marg's 24.4 points. That was enough to secure MoSHBODS_Marg's place at the head of the Leaderboard, but not enough to elevate MoSSBODS_Marg or C_Marg.
The all-Predictor average MAE for the week was 24.9 points per game.
C_Prob, for the second week in a row, did best amongst the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors on log probability score, though remains last on the ladder. Behind it, MoSHBODS_Prob and the three bookie-based Predictors recorded virtually identical scores, while MoSSBODS_Prob recorded a very slightly smaller score.
That left MoSHBODS_Prob atop the Leaderboard, ahead of Bookie_OE and Bookie_LPSO. MoSSBODS_Prob has some work to do if it's to move higher than 2nd-last on the Leaderboard.
WAGERS
It was a second straight loss for Investors this week, though this one only about half the size of last week's, the main source of it a 2 from 5 performance from the Overs/Unders Fund. Just one more goal in the Crows v Swans game would have made for a profitable round for that Fund and the Combined Portfolio, however.
In the end though, it was an 0.9% loss, which left the Overall Portfolio up by 30.6% on the season, from a 16% ROI on a 1.91 turn.
